West Indies debutant Kevin Sinclair has celebrated his maiden Test wicket in ripping style on Day 2 against Australia.

Sinclair, who earlier made a half-century to help the West Indies make 311 in the first innings, struck with the ball late on Friday to grab the crucial wicket of Usman Khawaja.

Khawaja was the only Aussie of the top five to make double figures and looked on track to make a century at the Gabba.

But Sinclair had other ideas and he found the edge, which left Alick Athanaze with an easy catch at first slip.

The wicket was crucial in the context of the match and had a celebration to match.

Sinclair, who had already conceded 48 runs in just over six overs, sprinted off and did a cartwheel and backflip in extraordinary scenes.

“The breakthrough has come from nowhere and the celebration 10/10,” Alister Nicholson said on Channel 7.

“How was that, he was pummelled and then he claimed the prized scalp.”

Former Aussie coach Justin Langer loved it.

“Look at this celebration,” he said in excitement as the replay was played.
