Best leave-in conditioner: I’ve been trialling this leave-in treatment for the past month. My hair has never been so soft

The summer months — with the swimming and heat that comes with them — always wreak havoc with my already dry and dehydrated hair.

Which is why I’m all ears whenever anyone recommends anything that will give my locks some much-needed moisture.

Most recently, it was the place of my hairdresser, Tahlia Maxwell, to give me a much-needed product recommendation — and having used her recommendation for the past month, I can tell you her tip certainly stacks up.

After using the $54 buy just once, I found my hair was shinier and it looked healthier.

And after a month, I think my overall scalp and hair health is better — plus, my hair has never been easier to style.

Made with the signature Sachajuan fragrance, the leave-in conditioner smells sophisticated, fruity and floral.

It’s been classically constructed with top notes of lychee and green apple, a heart of peach, rose and ylang ylang.

Base notes include patchouli, cedarwood and white musk.

To use the leave-in treatment, I find it works best when I apply it to my clean, damp hair after shampoo — and then I step out of the shower and comb it through with a hairbrush.

It works its magic best when you leave it to develop and sink in for at least 10 minutes.

Sachajuan suggest you can also add a few spritzes to dry hair to help tame flyaways and frizz in a pinch, but it works best when left to absorb before being rinsed out.

Reviews on Amazon are glowing for the Sachajuan treatment, where it has a 4.5 star rating.

“I use this every time I wash my hair and it makes my hair so much smoother and it also detangles it,” one shopper wrote.

“I’ve tried so many different products, but they are either too heavy for my fine hair, too greasy or just don’t work,” another added.

Not this product, it’s the best I’ve used. It does not weigh fine hair down and is not greasy. It leaves hair soft and supple, in fact the best my hair has ever been. I have sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate. I also can’t stand strong floral smells, this smells lovely and it’s not strong, definitely wearable. The only negative is that it is a little pricey, but it’s a great product so worth it.”

A third added: “I have been using this conditioner ever since I read about it once. It smells wonderful and detangles and styles wonderfully. Never used anything on my fine hair that has worked as well”.
