Body pulled from Brisbane River as police begin investigation
A body has been pulled from the Brisbane River after reportedly being spotted by members of the public on Sunday morning.
Queensland Police confirmed the discovery of a body in the river on Sunday, however investigations are still underway to determine the person’s identity and cause of death.
“Police are investigating following a body being recovered from the Brisbane River on Sunday, January 14,” a police spokesperson told 7NEWS.com.au.

“Formal forensics and identification are currently underway.”
Police advised they could not comment further at this stage.
The body was located in the water near the Brisbane City Botanical Gardens, the Courier Mail reported.
