Emma Lewisham review: I’ve been trialling the Skin Reset Serum for a month. Here are my honest thoughts

When it comes to skincare, it takes a lot for me to be wowed.

Not only does it need to tick a box that’s missing from my current regime, but it also needs to deliver something that all of the other cocktail of products taking up real estate in my bathroom do not.

Which is why when Emma Lewisham’s cult Skin Reset Serum ($150) landed on my desk, I felt that a road test was imminent.

The New Zealand-born skincare brand is a luxury, natural skincare line that puts innovation and beauty science at the forefront of every product it brings out.

The brand’s most recent launch last year — the Supernatural Blemish Serum ($135) — was the result of years of clinical trials and development, and it has swiftly become one of my go-to items for adding radiance and a dewy glow to my skin.

Would the Skin Reset Serum do anything different and is it worth your investment?

Six weeks after starting to use the $150 product, it’s safe to say Skin Reset has delivered.

If I could (afford to) bathe in this stuff, I would.

Loaded with ingredients that are famous for evening out the skin tone, improving pigmentation and restoring radiance, it really is a one-stop-shop for rejuvenating tired, lacklustre and partied-out skin.

Product information suggests that niacinamide works to brighten, while hyaluronic acid moisturises and penetrates deeply into the skin for lasting hydration.

The serum also has Emma Lewisham’s patented plant stem cell extract within its bottle, which works to actively help reduce the look of dark spots and pigmentation while simultatenously inhibiting the enzyme repsonsible for creating more pigment.

Finally, the serum has vitamin B3 to brighten and smooth out your complexion — so there’s plenty there to ensure a lit-from-within glow.

I’ve been using the product in the morning layered under SPF and makeup and at night along with the Super Reset Eye Serum ($130), and have noticed significant improvements in both the texture and tone of my skin since I’ve been applying a pump or two to my skin.

My skin is calmer, clearer and altogether happier.

It’s not just me who now swears by the product either.

Reviews are overwhelmingly glowing on both the Emma Lewisham and Mecca websites, and the serum has regularly been described as “holy grail” and “amazing”.

“Beautiful packaging, but even better and amazing product. It does everything it’s suppose to. Will be purchasing it when I finish this one,” one shopper wrote.

Another added: “I have been using the Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Serum for the last eight weeks and I must say, it’s one of my favourites. I’ve used other, more expensive brands, but this one seems to be doing a better job. It is not a sticky serum, and sinks into my skin well.

“My skin looks smoother, plumper and very hydrated which gives it a nice glow. Since I started using this serum, all of my friends take notice of the difference of my skin and I have been getting lots of compliments about that.”

I now use the Super Reset Serum alongside the Supernatural Blemish Serum ($135) by Emma Lewisham — which I reviewed in this piece and found to be a game-changer for my skin.
