Man dies after Holden station wagon and Nissan SUV collide in NSW Central West town of Cowra
A man has died in a horrific crash in the NSW Central West region.
About 2.50pm on Monday, emergency services were called to Redfern St at Cowra, after a Holden Commodore station wagon and a Nissan Pathfinder SUV collided.
The driver of the station wagon, a 77-year-old man, was treated at the scene, but was unable to be saved and died at the site of the crash.
The driver of the SUV, a 56-year-old man, was treated for head injuries and was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A crime scene was established and investigations are ongoing.
