Marble Bar: Tow truck driver, 75, killed in rollover crash in WA’s Pilbara
Major Crash investigators are probing the death of a tow truck driver in a fatal rollover incident in Western Australia’s Pilbara region on Tuesday.
A heavy recovery tow truck was hauling a garbage vehicle north on Great Northern Hwy in Marble Bar, 1500km northeast of Perth, when it was steered off the road and rolled just before 10am.
Behind the wheel was a 75-year-old man.
Police confirmed he did not survive the crash and died at the scene.

Authorities are now working to locate witnesses who saw the truck in the moments leading up to the crash.
Two people have been killed on WA roads in the first two weeks of 2024.
