One feared dead, another lucky to be alive after car crashes into water at Six Pack Creek boat ramp, Dundee Downs
One person is feared dead after a car crashed into the water and sank at a popular fishing spot in the Northern Territory.
A car carrying two people crashed into the water at Six Pack Creek boat ramp in Dundee Downs on Thursday afternoon.
One person managed to get out of the car before it sank while the other is believed to be still trapped.
A recovery operation is currently underway with the car still underwater, as water police and major crash units investigate what happened.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said road blocks were in place and urged anyone with any information to contact police.
“This is a complex recovery effort and NT Police are yet to confirm a person remains in the vehicle,” he said.
