The dad and his family were travelling along Elliott Heads Rd in Bundaberg, Queensland this week when he “all of a sudden jumped”, his daughter told 7NEWS.
She said her father pulled over to the side of the road and said: “I think there’s a snake in the car, and it just tried to bite me”.
The family got out of the car and waited for about five minutes before the snake poked its head through the driver’s side air conditioning vent.
The family believes the snake made its way into the car through a door that was left open overnight.
It’s unknown what kind of snake it was or what happened to it.
7NEWS has contacted the family for further information.
