The items, which include a replica of the Gold State Coach and the facade of 10 Downing Street — the official residence of the UK Prime Minister — are set to go fetch about $A100,000.

“I would like to put in a bid for the carriage — I have no money — but I need everyone on the desk to be like Monty Python and be the horses,” Monique joked, in the segment.

“Some coconuts?” Mark shot back.

“If you wouldn’t mind,” Monique replied.

“Your kids would love you dropping them at school in that,” Mark laughed.

Monique was referencing the 1975 classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which followed King Arthur and his search for the Knights of the Round Table.

King Arthur’s footmen famously make horse noises with coconuts in the film.

Monique and Mark crossed to European Bureau Chief, Hugh Whitfeld, who said the auction gave fans the chance to own something partially royal — even if it wasn’t necessarily authentic.

“I’m just back from the showroom actually and it’s almost like it is the closest thing you will get to owning something royal or kind of royal,” Hugh said.

There are 450 production items, including a reproduction of Diana’s engagement ring, and a reproduction of Saint Edward’s Chair — the wooden chair used for coronations for British monarchs.

Netflix series The Crown finished his run last year after six successful seasons. The show loosely chronicles the reign of Queen Elizabeth II — but has been criticised for its factual inaccuracy.

You can put in a bid online later this week with the auction being conducted by Bonhams.

Hugh did say the items would be on show for the next couple of weeks.

“If you are planning a trip to London in the next couple of weeks you can drop by their showroom as well and take a look — it is very cool,” he said.
