Teenage girl airlifted to hospital in serious condition after quad bike rollover west of Bundaberg


A teenage girl is in a serious condition after a quad bike rollover on a rural property west of Bundaberg overnight.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) told 7NEWS.com.au they were called to the rural property on Fairfield Road in Mungabunda, about five hours west of Bundaberg, just before 10pm on Saturday.

Paramedics treated the teenager for head, pelvic and suspected spinal injuries.

The girl was initially airlifted to Emerald Airport to rendezvous with the Royal Flying Doctors Service, according to QAS.

She was then flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.

It is not known exactly how the rollover occurred.
