Woman in critical condition from near-drowning at Cairns’ Trinity Beach
A woman’s sunset swim at a Queensland beach has nearly cost her her life.
The woman, aged in her 50s, was pulled unconscious from the surf of Cairns’ Trinity Beach about 6.45pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services believe she nearly drowned before being rescued.
Multiple paramedic crews treated her on the beach off Vasey Esplanade.

She was taken to Cairns Hospital in a critical condition.
