Driver fighting for life after serious crash on Brisbane Valley Highway at Esk
A driver is fighting for life after a serious crash involving a car and a truck closed a highway west of Brisbane.
Emergency services and a rescue helicopter rushed to an accident involving a truck and a car on the Brisbane Valley Highway and Chaille Road at Esk about 5.05pm on Wednesday.
Queensland Ambulance said multiple paramedics were on site, with a rescue helicopter sent to assist the driver of the truck.
Queensland Police confirmed there are grave fears for the driver of the car involved in the crash, but their condition remains unknown.

Police said the Brisbane Valley Highway is closed southbound due to the crash.
Motorists travelling south are urged to avoid the area, or expect long delays.
