Man fighting for life after car crashes into tree in Cranbourne, Melbourne
A young man is fighting for life after the car he was a passenger in — which was being driven by a learner — crashed in Melbourne’s southeast.
Police say a man in his 20s was driving a Holden sedan on Lesdon Ave, Cranbourne, when the car veered off the road and smashed into a tree.
The vehicle’s only passenger, a man also believed to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
The driver sustained minor injuries and is helping police.

“Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses and are on scene and investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash,” police said.
